California’s #1 Oktoberfest Kicks Off September 15th

If you don’t have any plans yet and want an excuse to get out of town. This is a perfect time to visit the Snow Lake Lodge in Big Bear Lake, California as the Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest is happening this weekend.

The Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest celebrates 42 years of German style family fun and good times this year.  It officially kicks off on September 15th and runs until October 27th.

Rated Southern California’s #1 Oktoberfest, this Fall’s festival offers authentic German entertainment, food and beer!

The Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest provides an excuse to enjoy a weekend away from the stress and obligations of everyday life in a beautiful alpine setting. The festival takes place high in the San Bernardino mountains, approximately two hours away from the greater Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego communities.

Pre-purchased tickets for the 42nd Annual Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest are now on sale!  Pre-purchase adult or senior tickets for the first two weekends (Sept. 15 & 16 and Sept. 22 & 23) by Sept. 12th and save $2.00 off of admission!

New This Year
We’ve been working diligently over the summer to offer our guests an even better experience than in years past.  We’ve added an outdoor contest stage with new contests, a third outside bier station for the Peak Weekends, and expanded outdoor seating.  Our new express ticketing system will allow guests who pre-purchased tickets expedited entry.  You’ve asked for it – the Burgermeister Party Pack on steroids – check out the new Uber Burgermeister Party Pack – only available on line! 

Express Tickteting System:
Be sure to Pre-purchase your Oktoberfest tickets this year and get expedited entry into the event.  Guests with pre-purchased tickets receive “Priority Entry”.  Pre-purchased tickets will be limited this year, so shop early!! 

Über Burgermister Party Pack:
This is the ultimate in Oktoberfest fun.  The Über Burgermeister Party Pack includes a one liter Oktoberfest stein, four beer tickets, a German meal, admission and, of course, party beads all for only $75.00. 

New Contest and Expanded Bier Gartens
Guests this year will enjoy a new contest – the Shoot ‘N Yodel!  Think you can yodel?  Then step-up, take a quick shot of Jagermeister and give us your best yodel.  The Shoot n’ Yodel will take place on the new outdoor stage on Saturday evenings.
We’ve once again expanded our Bier Gartens with even more seating and on Peak Weekends, will offer a third outside Bier Garten with seating! 

Special Dates To Remember:
American Heroes Weekend. September 15th & 16th 2012 Join us as we celebrate all those American Heroes who put their lives on the line to help keep our Freedoms! Admission is FREE for all Past & Present military, law enforcement and fire fighters and their immediate families. 

Local’s Night, October 5th 2012
We thank all of our friends and neighbors in the Big Bear Valley for their ongoing Support. Admission is only $5.00 for adults and seniors and FREE for children 12 and under.  All admission proceeds will go to benefit the North Shore Christian Pre-School.  New this year, bring two non perishable food items and get $2.00 off of Local’s Night admission.  All food items will be donated to St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. 

German Spooktacular
The festival closes on Saturday, October 27 with the annual costume contests for both adults and children. The adult contest this year will offer up to $1,000 in prizes. Adult costume contest at 9:00 p.m. and Children’s contest at 3:00 p.m. Children in costume get in FREE.
